I’m Megan Sparks
Hello!Introductions are always a bit awkward, no?
I graduated from the Savannah College of Art and Design in 2016 with a B.F.A. in Fashion Design. I moved home for two weeks, said “Hell No!” and took it straight to NYC, where I worked in the industry for 6+ years and learned invaluable skills and lessons.
Then, in 2021, I moved to Cincinnati and took a hard pivot in my career. I began studying and working with wine, eventually earning my WSET Level 1 and 2 certifications.
But I never really let go of creating. I developed patterns for print-on-demand, coloring pages, bespoke concert looks, etc. I started expanding my knowledge in knitwear and crochet, eventually developing my own patterns for personal use and becoming a test knitter. Then word started to spread: “I bet Megan can help you.”
And so I began tailoring and making alterations for others. I was commissioned to illustrate a car that didn’t exist yet for the SEMA Competition, “The Battle of the Builders.” I participated in a winter market where I really started to develop my brand.
I loved creating for so many different reasons, but somewhere along the way I realized what I love most about creating isn't necessarily the thing I'm making—it’s the person and the idea behind it.
What I love most in life is hearing others speak about what they are passionate about. If I can help in any way to bring their ideas to life, COUNT ME IN.
my big idea..
